Duration: 5 Hours Depart by air conditioned coach through Kowloon to Chuk Lam shim yuen (Literally, Bamboo Forest Monastery), one of Hong Kong’s most impressive monasteries, which houses three of the larges precious Buddha statues in Hong Kong. Go up to Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong’s highest mountain, for a panoramic view of Lam Chuen Valley, and neighboring Cities of China. Stop at The Tin Hau Temple (Goddess of the Sea). The Temple was built in 1736 near Tai Po Lam Chuen. Next to the Tin Hau Temple is the magnificent Wishing Tree, thousand of worshippers come to here to make wishes in Chinese New Year. A stop at the rural market at Luen Wo, you can experience the life of a local housewife visiting the market twice a day. Visit the Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall, built in 1525, is one of the largest ancestral halls in Hong Kong. The whole building is exquisitely decorated with fine woodcarvings. The structure was declared as a monument in November 1997. The final stop will visit the Entrance Tower and the Enclosing Wall of Lo Wai, Lo Wai is the first and one of the five renowned walled village in Lung Yeuk Tau, Fanling was established by the Tang Clan whose ancestors branched out from the main Tang settlement in Kam Tin in the 13th century. One the way back to the city form the Tolo Harbour Highway, the coach will drive pass the new satellite Town of Tai Po, Sha Tin, the new science park site, the Chinese University, Sha Tin Racecourse, Amah Rock and Lion Rock Tunnel.
