Brief information on Ancient Coins Museum

The Ancient Coins Museum consists of Deshengmen Archery Tower and Zhenwu Temple. It is a theme museum primarily emphasizing ancient Chinese coins and paper currency.
With a history of more than 500 years dating back to the Ming Dynasty, Deshengmen Archery Tower features color paintings on its beams, pillars and arches.
The reconstructed Zhenwu Temple displayed a wide range of Chinese currencies, including bronze coins, ancient silver noted and paper currency, all reflecting the social and political climate of the time.
The museum will give visitors a much greater appreciation of Chinese currency and its cultural significance. Experts are also on hand to provide explanation, identification and background on the various forms of currency on display.

How to Get to: take bus No. 5, 27, 44, 55, 315, 345, 380, 815 or 919 and get down at Deshengmen stop, take Metro and get down at Jishuitan station.
