Brief information on Baiyun Guan Taoist Temple

Baiyun Guan was originally established in the Tang Dynasty and was initially named Tianchang Guan. The temple was reconstructed in 1706 in the Qing Dynasty, and features a color-painted archway, main gate Lingong Palace, Yuhuang Palace, Laolv Hall, Qiuzu palace and Sanqing Siyu Palace. The China Taoist Association is set in Baiyun Guan.
Baiyun Guan complex is divided into three sections and a backyard, which emphasizes its compact layout and splendid scale. The architecture in each section is fully representative of the times. The backyard is tranquil, verdant and prosperous with circuitous verandas. Now, the ancient Baiyun Guan became a place of interest in the city and a popular destination for worshippers and visitors. Gradually, Baiyun Guan has gained a reputation for granting visitors a unique window in Taoist culture in China.
