Brief information on Former Residence of Lao She  

Lao She is one of Chinese history’s most prolific and charming writers, and he is perhaps best known for the novel Luotuo Xiangzi. This residence is a courtyard-style home gifted to him by Premier Zhou Enlai after Lao She returned from the US. It is located in Fengfu Hutong in a city center area with convenient transportation. The courtyard emphasizes peace and tranquility in the midst of the hustle and bustle of downtown Beijing.
