Anlan Suspension Bridge, also known as "Husband-and-Wife Bridge", is a famous ancient suspension bridge of international acclaim. This 500 meters long bridge is situated at the Fish Mouth water diversion bank on the Dujiangyan Dam, bestriding the Minjiang River. Rope Bridge has its origins in the early part of western Sichuan history, and the Anlan Suspension Bridge was certainly built no later than the Dujiangyan Dam, although there is no documentary proof of the specific construction time. After a complete refurbishment in March 2008, the bridge presents a completely new look to the public today, with the original bamboo structure being replaced with steel, and the timber piers being replaced with concrete structures. However, when walking on this bridge, you will still feel the rush of history, and enjoy a picturesque view.
