With travel insurance, you can minimize the losses you are undergoing when emergencies or accidents happen, such as your luggage is stolen or lost, your airline is delayed and you are seriously ill or a traffic accident happen to you.

If you book a tour with us we will offer you the Travel Agencies’ Liability Insurance issued by National Tourism Administration. This means that you only get compensation for personal and property losses, damages or injuries occurred during the guided tour and any losses outside the guided tour is not compensated.

The Travel Agencies’ Liability Insurance is issued by National Tourism Administration of China on May 15, 2001, and become effective on September 1st the same year. This insurance is provided by all travel agencies to protect tourists’ legitimate interests and rights. The Travel Agencies’ Liability Insurance is the newly replacement of the original Personal Accident Insurance.

The following accidents, if caused by travel agencies, will be compensated.

• Tourists’ injuries and death, related medical treatment expenses, transportation fee, repatriation fee, dining and accommodation cost of the family’s visit;

• Payment for the doctor;

• The airline or tour delay;
• Loss, theft or damage of tourists’ personal belongs;
• Legal costs paid due to the travel agency’s responsibility;
 

This coverage runs for only one year and the maximum amount of money reimbursed is CNY 160,000 (US$ 19,400) for foreign travelers to China;

Since this insurance do not cover costs of accidents occurred outside the guided tour, you’re highly advised to purchase personal insurance in your country before coming to China.
