At the same time lots of Internet cafes are thriving throughout the country, where you can get simple access but not any other services beyond it. It is not expensive to use a computer there, normally from CNY 1 to CNY 6. Almost all hotels in China provide Internet access either in its rooms or in the business center. Perhaps the big questions about the Internet in china are its speed and reliability and it is not secure to use computers in public places just like elsewhere. Email access based on Internet is also very convenient to have as long as you’ve got Internet access services. | |
| (2) What if I want to log onto the internet without a computer? | |
| In this case, you can use computers in Internet cafes(网吧). Besides, many cell phones provide Internet services with a fee. | |
| (3) I am going to stay in China for a year, how can I access the internet in my rented house? | |
| You can get broadband access service provided by China Telecom, China Unicom or China Mobile. The cost is different according to the suppliers and usually it is expensive to pay monthly than annually.
