There is no particular vaccination requirement to enter China unless you come from yellow fever infected areas. However, you are advised to bring your international certificate of vaccination and act in accordance with the suggestions of the World Health Organization and you doctor.

The following are vaccinations we suggest you to take, particularly when you go to remote or rural areas:

• Rabies-if you will get close contact with wild or domestic animals.

You can take common medicines that are used at home like medicines for cold, fever, cough, sore throat and diarrhea. We also suggest that you follow your doctors’ advices and take medicines he or she prescribes.

(5) How can I get the health service in China? International Hospitals in China?

You can get access to basic heath service in almost all Chinese cities, but their qualities vary from region to region and city to city. Generally medical services in rural areas are much worse than that in urban areas, where medical facilities and equipment are advanced and doctors are qualified. You can also get medical services in some quality hospitals where English is spoken.

Most large hotels provide medical and first-aid services, so if you feel uncomfortable just ask the outpatient department for help. If you are seriously ill, do not hesitate to go to the nearby local hospital.

You can also get help from your tour guide or travel agency when you feel ill if you join a travel group.

Please be reminded that the medical system in China differs that in Western countries, so follow your doctor’s instructions and be cooperative.
