Keep a close eye on your personal possessions in public places in the event of pick pocketing, which may be the biggest concern for foreign travelers.

| China is a safe country to travel for both men and women. So it is all right for a female to travel alone in China as long as you take the routine safety precautions as you do back home. For example, do not meet with strangers alone and go to places that seem to be dangerous and questionable.
China is very open to the world now, so it is fine for women to wear short skirts and tank tops. However, sometimes men will misunderstand foreign women’s friendliness and perceive it romantically.
