China Travel Tips

Welcome to China! We are very happy to provide you some tips for your China travel, please read them and hope they will help you to experience a wonderful China trip.

(1) Is China a safe country to travel?

Generally China is a safe country for foreign travelers, despite some slight crimes. Chinese people are very hospitable and warmhearted towards foreigners and violent crimes against them rarely happen. However it is necessary to take some safety precautions when traveling in China just as you do in home. Keep a close eye on your personal possessions in public places in the event of pick pocketing, which may be the biggest concern for foreign travelers.

(2) Is it safe for women to travel alone in China?

China is a safe country to travel for both men and women. So it is all right for a female to travel alone in China as long as you take the routine safety precautions as you do back home. For example, do not meet with strangers alone and go to places that seem to be dangerous and questionable.

China is very open to the world now, so it is fine for women to wear short skirts and tank tops. However, sometimes men will misunderstand foreign women’s friendliness and perceive it romantically.

(3) What should I do when come across some emergencies?

The first thing you should do is to call 110 for police or 120 for ambulance when you come across some emergencies. We suggest you to write down the telephone number of your tour agent, the hotel you are living and also the embassy or consulate of your country in a jotter in case of trouble. Inform the issuing agencies immediately if you lose your traveler’s check or credit cards.
