Brief information on Qutang Gorge

Qutang Gorge starts at Baidi City, Fengjie County in the west and ends in the Daxi Town, Wushan County in the east, with a total length of about eight kilometers. Despite being the shortest of the three gorges in the Yangtze River, it is rightly famous for both its steepness and overall magnificence. Upon entering Qutang Gorge, the Kuimen (also known as Qutang Pass) is awaiting exploration. Two solitary and lofty peaks, Mt. Baiyan (White Salt Mountain) and Mt. Chijia resemble a God-made gate straddling the river. The rapid, rushing water and steep mountain magnificence are, justifiably, the highlights of the Qutang Gorge, which is regarded as the finest of the three gorges. Apart from that, the many and varied attractions along Qutang Gorge are situated in close proximity, making it simple for travelers to visit the all. Such attractions include Baidi City with its many cultural relics, the breathtaking ancient plank road, the Seven Gate Cave, the Bellows Gorge, and the Rhinoceros Watching the Moon.

*You can download the bilingual note to show it to a taxi driver or someone else to find your way to Qutang Gorge if you plan to visit Qutang Gorge and have language problems.
