Brief information on Snowy Jade Cave  

Besides the Fengdu Ghost City , Fengdu is also famous for the Snowy Jade Cave, which is just 10 kilometers from the new Fengdu County.
 
Snowy Jade Cave is 1644 meters long and is the youngest water-eroded cave discovered in China. It has a high appreciation and research value. In the cave, 80% of the stalactites are as white as snow and keep growing at about 33 millimeters every 100 years, so the cave was called “Snowy Jade Cave” .

1166 meters traveling route has been developed for the visitors, and there are four Wonders here: the first one is the coral tower which is ordinarily called Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses, it is the largest in the world. The Second one is the glittering and transparent King Stone Flag at 26 feet high. The third one is the stone shield at 4 meters high which is also known as the Snowy Jade Penguin. The fourth one is the a kind of stalactites which resemble goose neck at 2.5 meters.

The general temperature in the Snowy Jade Cave is about 60-62F. The air in the cave contains abundant carbon dioxide and negative ions, and it is beneficial for some diseases, such as nasal and pulmonary diseases etc.
