Brief information on Hermit Villa
Hermit Villa is the hometown of Li Juesi, an excellent official in Ming Dynasty. Li was reduced to a commoner due to his frankness. Then he went back to hometown and lived there as a hermit. So the place he lived is called as Hermit Villa.
Occupying an area of more than 500,000 square meters, the villa is a popular resort integrating entertainment and tourism. Its ancient style architecture and sculptures are redolent of Chinese Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. In particular, it has the biggest marble Goddess of Mercy in China, which is 29 meters high.
Besides, the resort also has many modern facilities for enjoyment. The music fountain combines light and water perfectly. In particular, the traditional Chinese figure of Bagua, the Eight Diagrams, is added within the fountain, which is a fine example of traditional Chinese culture.
