Dunhuang Bus
The downtown of Dunhuang is not large, and there are only four city-bus routes running along fixed lines. Most buses in Dunhuang City are in a medium size. They operate from 07:00 until 22:00 every day, with departures every 15 minutes. It is CNY1 for the through trip. No. 3 Bus will take you to Echoing-Sand Mountain. You can take buses in front of the Dunhuang Hotel, Silk Road Hotel to Mogao Caves with a fare of CNY8 per person.
Dunhuang Coach
There are two main bus stations for coach in Dunhuang: Dunhuang Bus Station and Dunhuang Passenger Transport Center.
Dunhuang Bus Station is at No.24 Mingshan Road, Shazhou Town. There are bus to Xining, Hami, Turpan, Urumqi and Golmud, as well as many inner-provincial routes to Akesai, Anxi, Yumen, Jiayuguan, Jiuquan, Zhangye, Wuwei and Lanzhou.
Dunhuang Passenger Transport Center is located at No.25 Mingshan Road, offers services between Dunhuang and other cities inside GansuProvince, including Lanzhou, Jiayuguan, Zhangye, Jiuquan and Wuwei, etc.
