Dunhuang Taxi
It is very convenient and easy to take a taxi in Dunhuang. There are many taxies driving around the city, or parking at the airport, bus station, hotels and historic sights. The flag-down-rates of taxies are different from CNY5 to CNY10 according to the types of the taxi. Beyond the first 2 kilometers , the extra fee will be charged which is about CNY1 for mini taxies and CNY1.2 for a sedan. The charge is negotiable and will be reasonable. You can hire the taxi for the day to visit Mogao Caves, Echoing-Sand Mountain and Crescent Lake, the cost in total (including the waiting time and parking) is about CNY100 to CNY120.
