Gannan Overview:  Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture in southern Gansu Province, it is situated at the east edge of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The wonderful scenery there are vast expanse of prairie, dense forest, grotesque stone forest and highland lakes. It was called Little Tibet, but it is far more easily accessible. It includes Xiahe and the Labrang Monastery, Luqu, Maqu, and other mostly Tibetan towns and villages. Gannan has an area of 40,898 km² and its capital is Hezuo.

Gannan Climate & Weather:  Gannan is in the temperate zone and has a dry climate, the temperature between the four seasons is  with an annual temperature of 1.7'C and an annual rainfall of 400-800 mm, it is one of the most raininess places in Gansu.

Language in Gannan:  Because there are about 1/2 inhabitance were Tibetan, Tibetan Language and Chinese were the main language used in Gannan. 

Gannan Transportation: The only way to arrive or to leave Gannan is take bus because there is no airport and railway station in Gannan, The bus station is located in Xiyi Road of Hezuo City.

Gannan Food:  The food in Hezuo city as the same as the other city in Gansu, but in the Tibetan area the food is very special.
