Zhanjiang Overview:  Located at the southernmost of Chinese Mainland, southwest of Guangdong Province, and the conjunction of Guangdong Province, Guangxi Province and Hainan Province, Zhanjiang is at the Coast of China South Sea and faces Hainan Province across Qiongzhou Straits. Covering an area of 12,500 square kilometers, Zhanjiang has a population of 7.1805 million and Zhanjiang is one of the first batch cities that opened to international cities.

Zhanjiang Climate & Weather:  By the influence of subtropical climate, Zhanjiang is not too cold in winter and not too hot in summer. The temperature among the four seasons is tiny with a yearly average temperature of 23.2℃ and yearly average rainfall volume of 1567.3mm.

Language in Zhanjiang:  Zhanjiang has its own dialect which belongs to Guangdong dialect. It’s not easy to understand for Mandarin speakers.

Zhanjiang Transportation:

By Air:  Zhanjiang Airport located at the northwest of the downtown area and it is only 5 kilometers away from Zhanjiang. Currently, Zhanjiang Airport has already opened 31 flight routes from Zhanjiang to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Guiyang, Haikou, Shenzhen, Shantou and Hong Kong and so on.

By Train:  Li-Zhan Railway, San-Mao Railway and Yu-Hai Railway are linked to National trunk lines and the direct train lines from Zhanjiang to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, Kunming, Guiyang, Chongqing, Wuchang, Nanning, Xiangfan and other cities have already opened for use.

By Bus:  No.207 National Highway, No.325 National Highway and Zhan-Mao Highway are available for passengers. Zhanjiang Coach Station located at the north part of Zhanchuan Road and currently, the bus lines from Zhanjiang to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Beihai and Sanya are also available.

City Transportation: There are together 13 bus lines in the city and most of the buses start at Xiashan terminal, among which, No.3 and No.6 is convenient for passengers to get to Huguangyan Scenery Zone.

The flag-down fare for taxi in Zhanjiang is CNY5, CNY1.8 per kilometer after the starting kilometers.

Water Transportation:  Zhanjiang Port located at the southeast of the city, which is a state main hub port and already connected with more than 100 countries and regions in the world.

Zhanjiang Food:  Local delicacies include Boiled Sea Crab with Soup, Fried Shrimp Pie, and Snail Soup. And besides the dishes, the snacks in Zhanjiang are also famous, including Plain Chicken, Chitterlings Boodles, and Boiled Sticky Rice with Wine.

Major Zhanjiang Tourism Resources:  The blue coasting travel and oceanic travel resources, green ecological and agricultural travel resources as well as red regime and historical cultural resources formed the largest three main features of traveling in Zhanjiang as “Red, Green and Red”.

Tourist Attractions:  Zhanjiang has a lot of tourism resources, among which the major attractions are Huguang Rock, which is one of the two “Maar Lake” in the world and honored National Geopark, Zhanjiang Mangrove National Nature Protection Zone, which is the largest Mangrove zone in Mainland China with the most species and the largest Coral Natural Breeding Site with the complete preservation.
