Zhaoqing Overview:  Located at the middle west of Guangdong Province, Zhaoqing is next to Qingyuan in the northeast, Wuzhou and Hezhou of Guangxi Province in the northwest, Yunfu in the south and Foshan, Jiangmen in the southeast, as well as the conjunction part of inland and coast. Covering an area of 15,000 square kilometers, Zhaoqing has a population of 3.9648 million. The gold production is above 80% of the whole output of Guangdong Province and therefore, it is called “Gold’s Hometown” in Guangdong Province.

Zhaoqing Transportation:

By Air:  There is not any airport in Zhaoqing, and the near airports are in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Trains and coaches are available from Zhaoqing to Guangzhou everyday and it takes about two hours to get to the destination.

By Train:  San-Mao Railway located at the southwest of Guangdong Province and it is linked with Guang-San Railway in the east, with He-Mao Railway in the west. The railway has eight stops including Zhaoqing and Gaoyao and the distance in Zhaoqing is 81.5 kilometers.

By Bus:  The No.321, No.324 National Highway, San (Sanshui)-Mao (Maoming) Railway are conjunct in Zhaoqing and from Zhaoqing to Guangzhou, highway is available to get to the destination.

Zhaoqing Food:  The dishes in Zhaoqing belong to Chaozhou cuisine but also have its own features of the abundant venison and river foods. Local delicacies include Charr, Chinese Herring, and West River Shrimp. And also Zhaoqing Steaming Foods are also enjoying a reputation in China.
