Brief information on Yuexiu Park

Yuexiu Park was built in 1952 and is famous for Yuexiu Hill. It is the largest comprehensive culture appreciation park in Guangzhou, with an area of 860,000 square meters, including three artificial lakes and seven hills.
Yuexiu Park is well known for its beautiful scenery as well as its numerous cultural relics and historic sites. The main places to see are Haiyuan Pavilion, the Pavilion commemorating restoration, the burial tomb of General Wang Xing and his wives in South Ming, Zhenhai Tower, the Ming dynasty city wall ruins, Sifang Batteries, memorial stone archways, Sun-Yat-Sen monument, Sun-Yat-Sen Study and Work monument, and the Five Rams stone statue.
The three beautiful artificial lakes, Beixiu, Dongxiu and Nanxiu cover more than 50,000 square meters. Dongxiu Lake and Nanxiu Lake in particular are good places for painting and Beixiu Lake is suitable for boating and fishing. Every year, many flower shows are organized in the park because it is green all year round.
