Taxi must be the most popular way for tourists to get around in a city. There are more than 20,000 taxies in Guangzhou City, most of which appears in yellow and blue. The flag-down rate is CNY 8 for the first 2.3 kilometers. Then, CNY 2.6 for each kilometer. CNY 1 for fuel surcharge is added now. Please ask for and keep the receipt cause there is taxi identification number on it and this comes in handy when you forget some valuables in a taxi.
