Brief information on Miao Village  

Miao village, where more than 1,000 Miao families dwell, is a vivid museum to explore the culture and tradition of Miao people. The buildings of Miao people, the so-called Wooden Stilt Houses, are constructed leaning against the mountain and facing the water, which makes the front part of the building ‘hang’ above the water. What’s more, all of them are made of wood without any metals or bricks, which is considered marvelous even today. The clusters of Wooden Stilt Houses are scattered in the mountains and above the waters, which is a splendid and rare view when espied from other places.
