Yunshantun Old-han Chinese Village is situated in Qiyanqiao Town in Xixiu District, which was firstly built in the fourteenth year of Hongwu of Ming Dynasty (1381). The village now preserves a large number of historical buildings which are the typical representation of Tunbao (a kind of particular village) culture of Ming Dynasty. This village is mainly composed of folk house, temple, village gate, wall and building as well as the ancient street. The highlight here is the architectural style with not only Jiangnan flavor but also the unique feature of Guizhou’s stone architecture, implying an age-old national culture.
With the history of 600 years, those descendants of sergeants who followed Zhu Yuanzhang (the first emperor of Ming Dynasty) at the beginning of Ming Dynasty are still living in this village and continue the unique lifestyle of Ming Dynasty.
