Qian Dao Lake is located in Chun’an County, about 160 km west of Hangzhou City in Zhejiang Province. It is one of the first batches of national-level scenic spots in China, and also the biggest forest park in China, making it a must-see attraction in any Chinese tour itinerary. With exquisite scenery and an excellent environment, it attracts millions of domestic and foreign tourists every year.
Qian Dao Lake is a young artificial lake, formed as the result of having been a reservoir for the construction of the Xin’an River Water power Plant in 1959. It was named after the 1,078 islets in this beautiful lake. As for the surrounding landscape, Qian Dao Lake is well known for verdant hills, elegant water, unusual cave formations and various geological oddities, making the whole experience at once tranquil and unique.
