Brief information on Yabuli Ski Resort  

Yabuli Ski Resort, located in the eastern Shangzhi City of Heilongjiang Province, is 193 kilometers from Harbin and 120 kilometers from Mudanjiang City. There are some decent ski slopes here for fans of the sport, and in fact, the highest peak reaches around 1,743 metres above sea level. Around 170 days out of the year promise good snow coverage, and in this time there is generally a period of 150 days when it is possible to ski. Even still, the best time for skiers is from mid-December to late March. But be sure to rug up - although the average temperature is -10℃, the thermometer has been known to plummet to -44℃.

The whole ski field is covered with dense forest and is surrounded by mountains. Yabuli Ski Resort includes 18 ski-runs of all levels, the longest alpine ski-run in Asia, and a 5-kilometre loop cross-country ski-run. Snowmobiles, an exclusive sledge lane, 2 cabin ropeways, and 5 ropeways with chairs make it easy for skiers to get around the resort and try out all the different runs.

In 1996, Yabuli Ski Resort successfully held all the skiing events of the Third Asia Winter Games. Praised as China’s Davos, Yabuli Resort is gradually becoming more popular among skiers from all over the world. It attracts tourists from China and abroad, who come here for sightseeing among the beautiful mountains as well as skiing.
