Qinhuangdao Overview: Qinhuangdao located in northeast Hebei Province, is considered one of the most important areas of Hebei Province. As one of the most first batch of tourist cities in China, Qinhuangdao is sometimes called The Back Garden of Beijing and Tianjin. There are three main areas in Qinhuangdao. The Beidaihe, which is a summer seaside resort for senior government officials. Many political decisions affecting China are made here. Haigang District called the harbor city and home to Yan Shan University a leading University in North East Hebei Province. And finally Shanhaiguan, a popular place for tourists, featuring the eastern part of the famous Great Wall.

Qinhuangdao Climate & Weather: Qinhuangdao is a favorite summer resort. Influenced by the ocean, Qinhuangdao is mild. The spring is dry with little rainfall. Daqin is managed by the Taiyuan Railway Bureau while the Shenyang Bureau manages the Shanhaiguan line. Managing the remainder of the railway belongs to The Beijing Bureau. Since 2008, 5 million passengers have transferred through Qinhuangdao Railway Station.
By Bus: As of 2004 there were 37 bus routes in downtown Qinhuangdao. The major routes are to Shanhaiguan Zones to the east, Baidaihe railway station to the west, Dongshan Bathing spot to the south and Beigang Town Liyuan Village to the north.
There are an estimated 10 thousand vehicles in Qinhuandao including more than 3600 taxies. Statistics show that up to the end of year 2006, traffic mileage in Qinhuangdao totaled more than 8000 km.
By Taxi: Taxis are inexpensive in Qinhuangdao. The flag-down fare is only 5 Yuan. Taxi transport is considered the most convenient means of transportation in Quihuangdao.
