Brief information on Hefei Wild Animal Park  

Opened to public in 1997, Hefei Wildlife Park is 10 km away from the downtown and, situated in the Dashu Mountain. Its clear water and fresh and clean air make the visit so refreshing. Covering an area of 100 hectares, the park has thick vegetation and over 2000 animals of 120 species including foreign animals, for instance; giraffe, hippopotamus, chimpanzee, zebra, kangaroo and flamingo. It also has many domestic animals under the First-class national protection such as giant panda, Indian elephant, Siberian tiger, leopard, David’s deer and red-crowned crane. The park consists of Giant Panda’s Hall, Red Panda’s Hall, Herbivore Area, Beasts of Prey Area, Peacock’s Hall, Chimpanzee’s Hall, Japanese Monkey’s Hall, Squirrel Monkey’s Garden, Birds’ Garden and Flamingo’s Garden, and also a theater for sea lion show.
