Qitaihe Overview: Qitaihe located in the east part of Heilongjiang Province is situated in the center of 5 large cities, Jiamusi, Mudanjiang, Jixi, and Shuangyashan. Coal mining is an important industry in Qitaihe. Qitaihe is the only pilot city for coal recycling in Heilongjiang. It has a population of 890,000 and has total area of 6221 square kilometers.
