Shuangyashan Overview:  Shuangyashan is located in the northeast of Heilongjiang province, it has 430 km away the provincial capital city Harbin. With a total area of 22483 square kilometers, it has a population of 1.5 million. Shuangyanshan is a city abundant in the coal, electricity and forest. It’s mineral recourses are also includes the only magnetite in Heilongjiang, which reserves 12 0 million ton.

Shuangyashan Climate & Weather: Due to it’s higher altitude, the climate of Shuangyashan influenced by the continental monsoon climate, enjoys a long winter, short summer, and cold in winter and cool in summer; the average temperature is about 3.2℃, and average rainfall is 534 mm, and mainly rainfall is in summer.

By Train: A train ride to Shuangyashan costs 41 to 72 Yuan for the seat tickets, and 138 Yuan to 144 Yuan for soft sleeper train and takes less than 12 hours from Harbin, while 6 Yuan to 11 Yuan and around 2 hours from Jiamusi.  

By Bus: There is a modern freeway from Shuangyanshan to Jiamusi over a distance of 57 km, coach service is approximately 45 minutes. Bus fare within the city starts at 1 Yuan.

By Taxi:  The flag-down fare is 5 Yuan. 1 Yuan per kilometer after the first 3 kilometers. Most taxi rides within the city cost around 10Yuan.
