Hohhot Bus
The city is served by over 50 bus routes, covering most of the city fairly comprehensively. The network opens at 6am, and closes around 8pm. Visitors are advised to prepare their fare before boarding as buses have no conductors.
The Number 23 bus is a tourist line which starts at the Railway Station continuing to Gongzhufu Park and Wusutu National Forest Park. A second tourist line passes the Inner Mongolia Museum, Qingcheng Park Wutasi and Xilituzhao Temple.

Hohhot Coach
There are two coach stations in Hohhot: the Hohhot Coach Station and the Hohhot Coach South Station.
Hohhot Coach Station provides daily services to Beijing, Tianjin, Taiyuan and Datong, as well as most of the major cites in Inner Mongolia.
The Hohhot Coach South Station mainly services cities in Inner Mongolia, but services to Beijing and Taiyuan do leave from this station too.
Buses are the cheapest way of traveling long distance, but caution should be exercised: they are not as comfortable or reliable as air or train travel.
