Brief information on Black Tiger Spring  

Black Tiger Spring is one of the 72 famous springs group in Jinan and the champion among the Black Tiger Springs group. It is located under the Black Tiger Springs Road. Its name is derived from its flowing sound and color.

Black Tiger Spring is originated from a deep natural cave, which located beneath 3 meters, and has height and width of 2 meters, and 1.7 meters respectively. The water is clear and cold at the bottom. The mouth of the cave is constructed by the blue stone and inside the cave, a large stone covered with moss is seen that looks like a feral tiger. The spring wells up from the mouth of the cave and torrent dashes against the rock causing the sound of a tiger- roar.

Besides Black Tiger Spring, there are 15 springs in the Black Tiger Spring group that includes the famous Baishi Spring, Agate Spring, Wulian Spring, and Pi-pa Spring etc.
