Jiuzhaigou Bus

In order to protect the ecological environment of scenic area and make the winding mountain path proceed without hindrance, only the green sight-seeing buses are allowed to provide transferring services at the Jiuzhaigou Valley. The buses are powered by natural gas, so they are almost free of contamination. Bus ticket is CNY 90 per person, and can be bought at the ticket office together with the entrance ticket.

The sight-seeing bus drives cycling among the Shuzheng gully, Rize gully, Richawa gully and other main attractions in the valley regularly. Tourists who take the bus ticket can get on or off at any stop in the valley. The buses provide service between 08:00 and 19:00 in general. However, they may stop running earlier in the low season. So travelers should note the off-running time in advance and plan your tour schedule accordingly.

Jiuzhaigou Coach

Jiuzhaigou Passenger Transport Center is located about 500 meters from the entrance of the valley. There are four regular buses from Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu every day. The departing time is 06:20, 07:00, 08:00 and 13:00 respectively and ticket price is about CNY120 per person. And the regular buses to Mianyang is also available and charge about CNY75.

Jiuzhaigou Ring Way
Jiuzhaigou Ring Way is an important tourist route in Sichuan Province, running through part of the significant tourist attractions of the province. The route starts at Chengdu and ends at Jiuzhaigou, with a total length of 913 kilometers. It can be divided into East Line and West Line, which means there are two ways to drive up and down between Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou.

West Line: Chengdu-Dujiangyan-Wenchuan-Maoxian-Songpan-Chuanzhusi-Jiuzhaigou
The west line is about 430 kilometers. Driving along the Min River, travelers could enjoy the Tibetan and Qiang ethnic customs and the original natural landscape.

East Line: Chengdu-Guanghan-Deyang-Mianyang-Jiangyou-Pingwu-Jiuzhaigou County-Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot
With a total length of 520 kilometers, East Line has excellent vegetation and beautiful mountains and clear waters.

In general, it takes the same running time, about 9 to 10 hours; no matter you choose East or West line. We suggest you to choose different lines during the round trip; otherwise, you may miss some nice scenery.
