Jiuzhaigou Weather - Information-on Jiuzhaigou Climate

Jiuzhaigou is hailed as the “heaven of the world” due to its picturesque landscape. Situated at 2-4000 meters above sea level, Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area has a typical highland humid climate, featuring mild temperatures and extremely variable weather. The mountains of Jiuzhaigou are topped with snow all year round and the annual average temperature is between 6 and 12°C. July is the hottest month, when the average temperature is 17°C, while the coldest month is January when the average temperature is 3°C. During the morning and evening, the temperature can fall quite low within the valley so travelers are advised to bring warm clothes when visiting this area.
