Kashgar Grand Bazaar is located at the East Gate of Kashgar, and is the biggest international trading market in northwest China.
”Bazaar” is a Uighur word meaning “market.” The Kashgar Grand Bazaar has a history of more than two thousand years and has been renowned as the biggest market in Asia. There are 5,000 booths and stalls and more than 10,000 different kinds of goods in the market. Since the opening of Kunqirap Port and Turugart Port, a large number of foreign tourists and traders have brought significant quantities of foreign merchandise to trade here and have also purchased Chinese goods, deepening trade links and stimulating the local and wider economies.
