Brief information on Stone City 
Stone City is located at the north side of Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County. It was the main junction of the middle and south sections of the Silk Road in China. Many roads pass this junction, including roads from Kashgar, Shache, Yingjisha and Yecheng. Stone city is built in the steep, high mound. Outside Stone City, there are multilayered city walls, between which a lot of stones are piled up.
