Lanzhou Train

Lanzhou Railway Station is located at the foot of the Gaolan Mountain in the southern downtown area. Many railway lines, including Longhai (Lianyungang-Lanzhou), Lanxin (Lanzhou-Urumqi), Lanqing (Lanzhou-Qinghai) and Baolan (Baotou-Lanzhou), traverse the city. They connect Lanzhou to cities like Beijing (19hrs), Shanghai (22hrs), Nanjing (19.5hrs), Qingdao, Jinan, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou (30hrs), Changsha, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xian (8hrs), Xining (3hrs), Urumqi (20.5hrs), Hohhot and Lhasa (28hrs). Visitors are advised to purchase their tickets at the railway station, or the ICBC, at least three days in advance of the preferred departure date.
