Though Lhasa is not a big city, it still has over 1,500 taxis, and that all the taxies are the whole-colored Santana. Therefore, it’s quite easy to take a taxi here. The fare rate of Lhasa taxi is CNY 5 for the first 2 kilometers, and CNY 1.5 for each additional kilometer. Generally speaking, it will charge about CNY 10 within the city and more for the distant area. However, you’d better bargain the price with the taxi driver if you want to go out of the town.
