Jinling Boiled Salted Duck: Jinling Boiled Salted Duck has a history of over 1000 years and has enjoyed an excellent reputation throughout this time. This dish is characterised by white and oily skin as well as moderately salty meat that is reddish, tender, fragrant and fresh. They are known as “Osmanthus flower ducks”, as the meat is endowed with the fragrance of osmanthus flower. It has become a famous dish to the south of the Yangyze River's lower reaches.

Eight Qinhuai Specialties: The local delicacies of Nanjing can be traced back to the long history of Six Dynasties and they boast great variety-featuring more than 80 varieties. Some are made of fish and meat and others of vegetables in salty and sweet flavors. Among them, "Eight Qinhuai Specialties (eight kinds of pastries)" stand apart. It includes Huangqiao sesame cakes, beef soups and lightly fried beef dumplings, jellied bean curds and cakes fried with green onion, crispy cakes fired with duck oil and steamed pies with assorted vegetables, to name just a few! A visit is a must in order to fully appreciate the full culinary richness of the area.
