Taxis in Nanning cost RMB 6 for the first 3km, with a surcharge of RMB 1.2 for each additional kilometer. The city also has a number of luxury taxis, which cost a little more, and both kinds of taxis have night surcharges. Taxi drivers are unlikely to speak English or read pinyin, so visitors are advised to have their destination address written in Chinese characters.
