Brief information on Dongqian Lake  

Dongqian Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province, about 7 km southeast of Ningbo. Occupying an area of 22 square kilometers, Dongqian Lake consists of Guzi Lake, North Lake, and South Lake, and is 4 times as large as Hangzhou’s famous West Lake.

Dongqian Lake boasts the attractive landscape of Hangzhou’s West Lake and the magnificent breadth of Tai Lake. Surrounded by the green hills and shadowy woods, the lake has a vast body of water and a winding waterfront, blending the natural beauty of the water and the mountains. During the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, some famous scholars lived in the area secluded from the world. The Beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains add radiance and charm to each other.
