Yingzhou Bayu (snack): As a snack, Yingzhou Bayu has a history of more than 50 years, and is cooked using the excellent mackerels (Bayu). After a period of improvement and innovation, a series of Yingzhou Bayu combos was formed, offeringmulti-flavoured delight to those who tried. Meidaer Roast Squid: At Meidaer Barbecue Restaurant, you first choose the best squid. After the fishy smell has been removed, the squid will then be salted and  roasted. The finished Squid is spicy and fresh. The best places to eat roast squid are Meidaer Barbecue Restaurant and Wangjie Barbecue Restaurant. These two roast restaurants have many branches in Qingdao, mostly along Zhongshan Road .

Other Delicacies: Apart from the above snacks, other tasty food such as Seafood Spinach Noodles, Changcheng Fried Seafood Buns, Fish in Casserole, Seafood Balls, Seafood and Dough Drop Soup, Cakes with Clams, etc. are also worth tasting.

Qingdao Food Streets

Pichaiyuan: In the 1930s and 1940s, Pichaiyuan was a well-known food street, and also the place where the folk cultures flourished. Various traditional Chinese operas and performances could be found here. In 2007, the restoration on Pichaiyuan was carried out. In 2008, it got reopened. The rebuilt Pichaiyuan took on a new look, and the streets and buildings are of antiquity. Many distinctive restaurants like Pichaiyuan Jellied Bean Curd, Pichaiyuan Dumpling, Roast Seafoods, Manman Barbecue, Laoweixian Chaotianguo, Xu Ding Dishes, Penglai Dumpling Stuffed with Bayu (mackerel), Fuhonglou Fish with Pickled Vegetable, Erduowen Fried Rice Cake, etc. gather here one after another.

Minjiang Road and Yunxiao Road Food Block: This food block consists of Minjiang Road and Yunxiao Road, and is located at the northern side of the most popular coastal scenic area. The internationally well-known large supermarkets JUSCO and Carrefour, the high-grade hotels and hundreds of restaurants gather around this food block. Here you can taste not only the authentic Shandong Cuisine based on seafood but also other Chinese foods. Even Korean and Japanese food restaurants can also be found.

Other Food Streets: Apart from the above food streets, Eighth Taidong Road and Damaidao Food Street are also good places to taste delicious foods.
