Sanya Shopping – What to Buy in Sanya

After years of development, Sanya, China’s tropical coastal tourism city has become a shopping paradise. Visitors can purchase various local specialties such as craftworks made from the wood of coconut trees. In addition, beautiful ethnic fabrics made into blankets, headscarves, sashes and knapsack skirts are can be found, and make great gifts. Sanya is also known for its pearls, renowned in China.

Many shopping markets can be found in the areas around Dadonghai, Tianyahaijiao and Jiefang Road of Sanya. Most famous are Jingrun Pearl, Yanglan Crystal Handicraft Factory, Tiandu South Sea Hawksbill, Guobin Shopping Store and Tianyahaijiao Shopping Street.

The supermarkets in Sanya include Wanghao Supermarket, the biggest one, and Wangfulong Supermarket, which has a special area for Hainan specialties, and the Summer Mall, an upmarket fashion shopping center. Jiefang Road Pedestrian Street is the place to go for top high street brands.
