In winter when weather is bleak, sky is grey and not even a single green patch in sight, every one wishes to go somewhere like Sanya. Journey to the island does not end here and needs to take ferry from the Wharf to the Wuzhizhou Island. Ferry service starts at 7:40am and ends at 6.00pm and till 4:00pm there is service in every 20 minutes.

Wuzhizhou Island that has an area of 1.48square kilometers has low lying land towards north-western side and goes up towards south-eastern side. This butterfly shaped island is bordered by white sandy beach and blue waters. Besides waters and blue skies, what makes island attractive is its rich green vegetation. Since this island has freshwater resources, there grows rare plants and trees. Its crystal clear waters enable swimmers to enjoy colorful marine life and coral reefs in different shapes. It is also excellent for scuba diving. For those who love extreme sport entertainments, canoeing, gliding, and sailing are also there. You can rent diving gears and underwater cameras from few shops on the island.

Other than exploring sea there are few scenic spots such as Goddess Matsu Temple, Gold Turtle Stretching towards the sea, Lover’s Bridge, Lover’s Island, Life Well, Sunrise Rock etc… you might like to see. If you have come to stay overnight and relax, you can make visiting each spot a small adventure. To stay overnight you have plenty of choices like Wuzhizhou Island Holiday Centre, Onshore Wooden Cabin, and Presidents’ Villa etc…with beautiful island view. The island is also a heaven for sea food and tropical fruits. There are plenty of restaurants to the south of the island where you can taste varieties of mouthwatering seafood.

The island is situated in the tropic marine zone and hence it has pleasant climate. Here, the annual average temperature comes between 250 Celsius and 300 Celsius but from January to March, climate is cooler in the mornings and evenings. The best time to visit Wuzhizhou Island is during winter. While travelling to Wuzhizhou Island, Sanya it is advised to take sunscreen lotions, umbrella, hat, sun glasses and mosquito cream.

The Wuzhizhou Island offers heaven like peace for those who are vacationing there. To walk hand- in- hand in the sun along the beaches with sea water soaking your feet offers a great relaxation and romantic for lovers and couples.
