Founded in 1941, the Majestic Theater is located at the hustle and bustle intersection of Jiangning Road and West Nanjing Road. The Chinese name of this theater means "beautiful jade without flaw", and it once got kudos for "No. 1 in Asia" by people all over the world.
Majestic Theater is a well-known historical building, elegant and unique, which ingeniously combined ancient and modern architectural style together. At the entrance, the round huge tower is full of power and grandeur, and the large-scale crystal pendant lamp is blazing with color. The theater enjoys a good reputation both at home and abroad, which offers a diverse range of regular performances such as opera, ballet, song and dance, and local/regional dance performances.
