Shanghai is the cradle of Chinese drama art performance. However, the drama staged here are not only Chinese masterpieces, but also some Western classics and excellent modern works. Founded in 1953, Shanghai Drama Art Center is a comprehensive building occupying an area of 15,000 square meters, which compose of three modern theaters of different capacity and two spacious rehearsal halls, could meet the needs of variety art performances.
