Brief information on Shenyang West Lake  

About 40 kilometers far from downtown Shenyang, Shenyang West Lake is well known for its natural pretty scenery. It was named as “ Jiangnan of Shenyang”. Its main lake area is about 10 thousand mu, with 3 thousand mu covered by water lilies - the reeds rising with the wind, which looks very beautiful. This kind of special scenery is very different from other two west lakes in China.

Since 1992, the Shenyang Government has paid much attention on the development and construction of Shenyang’s West Lake. They built a series of facilities there, such as restaurants on the water, a fishing terrace, and West Lake Fairyland etc. Every summer or autumn, many visitors come here to enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax themselves.

For transportation, you can take a train from Shenyang Railway station to Xinmin, which requires only one hour. You can also take the shuttle bus there, which is also very convenient.
