Fairly Lake Botanical Garden is a famous scenic spot combining tourism, scientific research and the endeavour of cultivating and spreading an interest in science. Located on the northeast of the city, adjacent to Wutong Mountain in the east and facing Shenzhen Reservoir to the west. Occupying an area of 52,800 acres, the botanical garden boasts a collection of over 4,000 species. The whole garden consists of six different scenic spots: “Earthly Paradise”, “Lake Spot”, “Temple Spot”, “Desert Spot”, “Forest Fossil” as well as the “Pine, Cypresses, Azaleas” respectively. At these spots, dozens of landscapes have also been constructed, such as caves, mazes, Heavenly Pond, Billow-enjoying Pavilion, as well as a museum dedicated t o extinct plants and animals.
