Brief information on Baosheng Temple

Established in 503, Baosheng Temple is located in the west of Luzhi Ancient Town. With more than a thousand years history, Baosheng Temple houses the well-preserved classic work of Yang Huizhi, a master of Sculpture in Tang Dynasty, which integrated the exquisite skills of carving and painting, and is take as a national treasure. With the efforts of ever Buddhist abbots, the temple reached its height of splendor with more than 5,000 halls and 1,000 monks. And today, visitors can still experience the large scale of the temple from the extant site.
