With its location on the Yangtze River Delta Region, next to Shanghai in east and bordering the Taihu Lake in west, Suzhou boasts a long history and charming garden scenery.

Established in 514 B.C, the origins of ancient Suzhou City still can be found. There are well-arranged offices, military camp, workshops, markets, residences and entertaining places. Streets lining the river, with white walls, dark green tiles and stone bridges all formed the chessboard layout of the city. Suzhou is one of the historical cities of China, and its long history can be traced back to the Neolithic Age. A total of more than 1,110 pieces of household, manufacturing and decoration articles excavated from the south bank of Yangcheng Lake, Wuxian County, indicate Suzhou area is a cradle of Chinese textile industry.

The Garden of the Master of Nets, the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lingering Garden and Huanxiu Shanzhuang are the most famed amongst the 69 classical gardens in Suzhou. Suzhou gardens are good places to back off uproar. They are miniatures of natural scenery, including mountains, rivers, flowers and trees, with architecture elements and Taoist, Buddhist, and Sakyamuni spirits, representing Chinese intelligence and attainment.
