Brief information on Mt. Tai  



Located at the centre of Taian city, Shandong province, Mt. Tai ranked No.1 of the “Five sacred mountain”, it was called Daizong Mountain as well as Dai Mountain in the ancient times.
Mt. Tai is the place where the Buddhism and Taoism were flourished. Historical record said that there were 72 emperors from different dynasties have made sacrifice to this mountain which made the mountain popular among all over China. A lot of poets and writers also paid a visit the Mt. Tai to gain their inspiration. Numerous magnificent temples and stone inscriptions are the best evidence to these visits.
With so many cultural relics and artworks, Mt. Tai is renowned as a natural museum. Red Gate Palace, Heavenly Queen Pool are all the typical representatives. Mt. Tai is also proud of its attractive and unique natural sceneries. The rolling mountains, spectacular waterfalls, deep valleys, and the vigorous pines and cypresses make tourists reluctant to leave.
There are four wonders on the mountain: the morning sun rises in the east, the sunset glow, jade ribbon along the Yellow river and the sea of the cloud. But it is seldom for people to see all the four wonders of the Mt. Tai at one time, if you can, maybe you are the luckiest person in the world.
