How to Get to Taiyuan
Taiyuan is one of the transportation hubs in North China. It has formed a complete traffic network currently.

Taiyuan Wusu International Airport has opened more than 50 domestic and international lines including routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and other major cities.

Railway and highway are more convenient and well constructed. 6 railways (Tongpu, Shitai, Jingyuan and so on) are running through Taiyuan, which greatly improving the ability of rail transportation in Taiyuan. Dayun，Taimao, Taishi roads runs through Taiyuan city, and make the traffic run in all directions.

Airport
Taiyuan Wusu Airport is located in the southern suburb, 18 km away from the downtown. It has been direct flights between Taiyuan and most big cities in China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guilin, Nanjing, Shenyang, Xi’an and so on. In the condition of no fixed airport shuttle bus from the downtown to the airport, the simplest method is taking taxi, which will cost 30 minutes.

Railway
Taiyuan is benefit from Jingyuan Railway (Beijing - Taiyuan), Shitai Railway (Shijiazhuang - Taiyuan) and Taijiao Railway (Taiyuan - Jiaozuo). It connects tens of major cities, for example, Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Chengdu, Baotou, etc. The railways running through or ending in Taiyuan are more than 20.

Coach
Taiyuan is located in the center of Shanxi, and it has perfect roads system. There are five major long-distance bus stations, which are Provincial Bus Station, East Station, West Station, Jiannan Bus Station and Yingbin Bus Station.
 
How to Get Around Taiyuan
The local traffic in Taiyuan is convenient also. 60 more bus lines are ready for you. However, the visitors who are not familiar with Taiyuan city could take taxi of convenience.

Bus
