Brief information on Hubei Provincial Museum

Hubei Provincial Museum, near East Lake, is a National AAAA Level Tourist Attraction and contains more cultural relics than any other museum in Hubei Province.
In Hubei Provincial Museum there are about 200,000 historical relics, including 640 first class cultural relics under national protection and 16 national treasures. At present, exhibits include bronze wares of Shang and Zhou Dynasties, lacquer wood wares of Chu State, bamboo slip of Qin Dynasty and some famous calligraphy and paintings. Other rare pieces here include chime bells, blue-and-white porcelain of the Yuan Dynasty, the sword of Gou Jian, the spear of Fuchai, and the Twenty-Eight Lunar Mansions Constellation Map.
